Judith P. Kenney



Judith Kenney founded Judith P. Kenney & Associates, P.C., in 1995 with her brother, Nat M. Kenney, III (Deceased). Judith has more than 25 years of experience in estate planning and probate law, primarily in Dallas and the surrounding counties. Prior to opening Judith P. Kenney & Associates, P.C., she practiced in the estate planning area at True & Sewell, P.C., Allen & Knuths, Brice & Mankoff, and Chamberlain, Hrdlicka, White, Williams & Martin.


Ms. Kenney graduated from the University of Houston Law School (cum laude) in 1983. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Scripps College. She was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1983, and has since been admitted to practice before the Federal Court in the Northern District of Texas, and the United States Supreme Court. She is Board Certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and she is a Certified Attorney/Guardian Ad Litem for Guardianship matters.

Ms. Kenney is a Past President of the Estate Planning Council of North Texas. She is also a member of the Dallas Bar Association and the Denton County Bar Association, and a member of their Probate Sections.

Ms. Kenney has participated as a speaker at a number of seminars sponsored by the National Business Institute including: The Probate Process from Start to Finish in Texas (2000, 2002 - 2008, 2010); Probate Process from A to Z (2009); Texas Probate, Beyond the Basics (1997 - 1999); Advanced Estate Planning Techniques in Texas (1995); A Practical Guide to Estate Administration in Texas (1993); and Planning Opportunities with Living Trusts in Texas (1992).
